What is the The Artists CV Challenge?
Join us in this live workshop to organise and create your Artist Assets Portfolio for 2025.
These assets are the Artists CV, Artists Bio and Artists Statement.
Together we learn what goes into each of these assets, then crafting them ready to use for art shows, exhibitions, websites, and workshops.
At the end of this five day workshop you should have these assets ready to use and stored in a portfolio you can easily get to when an art show says, "send us your Artists Bio and Artists Statement"!
Who is this Challenge for?
Any Artist who needs clarity on what an Artists CV, (Curriculum Vitiate), Biography(Bio) and Statement are and how to craft and organise them ready for use.
Beginner Artists to Experienced Artists need a CV, Bio and Statement for their website, to enter art shows and more.
The Artists CV Challenge caters for all skill levels of artists, all getting their stuff ready for the 2025 art season.
Join us, work in a friendly group to craft these necessary assets together.
We have done for you docs to fill in, Information sheets to follow and a Zoom room full of artists who support and encourage.
Then there is the replay available for seven days to check back on anything we have done together.

Hello and welcome! I'm Karol Oakley the founder of The Online Art Society and your host for this Artists CV Challenge.
How many times have you been asked for your Artists CV, a short Artists Statement or an Artists Bio?
In this challenge we are breaking down what each of these things are. Then crafting our own CV, Bio and Statement, using visual guides, demonstrations and done for you documents.
I've been painting and teaching for over thirty years and maybe like you, still haven't got all these Artists Assets in one place or up to date! It's a scramble to make a new one, every time I'm asked for a bio less than 150 words, for an art show. It's a nightmare to find these things in my digital world.
Like you I am an artist first and have an adhoc filing system based on memory...which can be a bit dodgy some days!
This challenge came about when another artist asked the question- what's the difference between a Cv a Bio and Statement? And how do you make them?
Well in this challenge we are going to address that, fix the problems of not having them ready to use and in one place for easy access.
Join us for an hour and a half a day, as we go through these Artists Assets and make a portfolio ready to use this year.
